Take a Tour of Parliament? I am happy to help arrange a tour of the Palace of Westminster and apply for special permits on behalf of constituents. However, when Parliament is sitting tours are only available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and on Fridays – all day if the Commons are not sitting, late afternoon if they are. There is no access to the Commons chamber after 09.30 on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Climb to the Top of Big Ben? Tours of the Clock Tower (Big Ben) are available on request. There is a limited capacity with a maximum of 16 visitors per tour, minimum age for children is 11. Watch a Debate? I am also glad to help obtain tickets for the Strangers' Gallery of the House of Commons for constituents. Each MP is allocated two tickets about once a fortnight. As you may know, tickets for Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesdays are very difficult to get hold of. I will do my best to arrange tickets for Prime Minister's Questions, but it helps if constituents can provide a choice of dates, as far in advance as possible. Individual Visitors and Lobby Groups Casual visitors to Parliament, perhaps part of a lobby group, can put in a "green card" to see their MP. This system is unreliable so if you are coming to Westminster and want to see me, please let my office know in advance. Special Educational Tours The Parliamentary Educational Unit organises special educational tours for school children. The unit also runs a website geared towards children at http://www.explore.parliament.uk/
